Patriot Games

An exhibition on Ireland and the Olympics 1896 – 2012

“Patriot Games” is a wonderful exhibition produced in association with the County Museum Dundalk on the history of the Irish Involvment in the Olympic Games from 1896 to the present day. This fascinating story was researched and compiled by Curator Brian Walsh, and tells a story of the struggle by a dedicated few, to realise their dreams and ambitions of competing on an International stage under the Irish flag. This exhibition is a snapshot of some of our greatest athletes and their individual stories. It is a must see for anyone who has even a passing interest in sports, as panels and stories tell of great achievements and misfortunes when dreams were not realized. ┬áPatriot Games is Irelands story of 116 years competing at the Olympic Games.
